More About Laura Hoy

From a very young age, I remember feeling that the law was not only a set of rules by which we are governed, but rather the tools we are given to protect those who are preyed upon.

I have wanted to be a lawyer for as long as I can remember.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology, and my law degree from Loyola University, New Orleans. While in law school in Louisiana, I took the opportunity to also get my Law Certification in Civil Law. I then attended the University of Miami, School of Law where I got my L.L.M. in International Law.

Originally for Belize, I was sure that my practice would evolve into representing global companies. However, the economy took a down turn and there became a great need for attorneys with a passion for the law to help those most affected.

I was drawn to the reputation and track record of this firm and quickly immersed myself in the practice and became part of the team. I am currently the Managing Attorney at Loan Lawyers. My responsibilities include overseeing the numerous areas of practice within the firm, as well as increasing client satisfaction and promoting attorney and legal staff development. Having consulted on, represented, and litigated hundreds of case files I lend a unique perspective to balancing legal strategy and practice with building long term attorney / client relationships.

Foreclosures and debt collection is unfortunately plaguing so many families in our community. My goal is to help alleviate some of the stress that comes with being sued or harassed, and make the process understandable. I simply work hard to ensure that we promote excellent legal service while being compassionate and keeping our clients well informed.

I find that once clients understand what we do and how we do it, they are empowered to take control of their own cases and not only become better, more informed clients, but often are better able to cope with the process.

We do not charge by the hour. We do not charge you when we pick up the phone or send you an email. We do not charge you for travel time or any of the kind of stuff that is disconnected from the real value of what we do. We invest in long-term personal relationships with our clients, and we measure the value of our services by our successful outcomes and client satisfaction. We have a lot to offer, and we invite you to get to know us better.
