Our family is here
to help your family

Jon Benjamin, Esq.

Growing up in a religious, South Asian family has made me the man, husband, and attorney I am today. My parents raised my siblings and I to always do our best and to learn from mistakes to become better as a person and as a professional. We were taught so many life lessons that you cannot possibly find in a book. I was blessed with such a great foundation. I grew up in New York, Long Island and attended a Catholic College prep high school. After high school, I decided to venture to Boston for undergraduate studies. I attended Boston University, where I studied Political Science, Philosophy, and Psychology. I always knew that I wanted to become a lawyer, so I decided to take courses that would allow me to understand the structure of the legal system and courses that would allow me to “think outside the box.”

After graduating from Boston University, I worked as a paralegal for 5 years prior to attending graduate school. I was blessed to work for John Hancock Financial Services and later Ropes and Gray, LLP, one of the biggest and most reputable litigation law firms in the country. I learned some invaluable skills as a litigation paralegal which helped prepare me for my graduate studies. I attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated with distinction, earning multiple awards such as Best Advocate in a Preliminary Round Award and Second Place Team Award (American Association for Justice, 2010 Civil Trial Competition at Stetson), the Blews Pro Bono Award, and the Stetson University College of Law Leadership Certificate. During law school, I was fortunate enough to clerk for the amazing Judge Covert, in the Circuit Court of Sixth Judicial Circuit, Pinellas County, Florida where I learned so much about professionalism and the judicial process as a whole. I also clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida in Tampa, Florida, where I worked in the Civil Division with a number of outstanding Assistant United States Attorney’s on various cases for and against the United States Government. I was blessed to have learned from such great attorneys who really cared about the nature of their job and the honor it brought each day representing the Government. Prior to graduating law school, I was privileged to work for the Office of the State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit in Clearwater, FL where I was able to litigate bench trials and motion hearings. This entire experience has had a profound impact on shaping me to be the attorney I am today.

I was fortunate enough to be brought on as a Litigation Associate at Loan Lawyers, LLC a firm specializing in Foreclosure defense, Bankruptcy, and Consumer Collection Defense, among other things. I am a former bank attorney, so I bring a unique perspective to defense work, especially foreclosure defense. At the firm, I am currently working on Foreclosure Defense in the Tri-County area (Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach). Our firm has outstanding attorneys and support staff, and many attorneys at this firm have pioneered the current areas of law we practice. It's a privilege and honor to work for such a high caliber law firm in South Florida. I work very hard for our clients and believe it is my duty to aggressively represent each and every client as I would a family member. I am a proud husband to a beautiful and amazing wife. When I am not at the office, I enjoy traveling, playing sports, going to the gym, reading books, playing instruments, and taking our dog on walks.
